About Us
Our Story
A&C Dental Lab, a family-owned and operated small business, was established in Boca Raton, Florida, in 1977 by Nick Aleksa and Guy Campion. Prior to this, Nick and Guy had worked together at a laboratory in Pompano Beach, Florida. When that lab closed, they decided to start their own dental laboratory and selected Boca Raton as the location. Initially, A&C Dental Lab served a modest number of local dentists, but it eventually expanded its services to Miami and Kendall, catering to dozens of dental professionals.
Nick and Guy, although strangers initially, had similar backgrounds: both had moved from New York to Florida and had experience in the dental laboratory industry. In New York, Nick co-owned a dental lab, while Guy ran his own.
In 2017, Guy decided to semi-retire from the business and sold his share of the company to Mike, his son. Since Mike has come on as a co-partner of the lab, the laboratory has evolved. The laboratory creates crowns from traditional impressions, as well as digital impressions from IntraOral scanners.
Nick Aleksa
Nick Aleksa contributes half a century of dental lab expertise to A&C Dental Lab. His career began in a New York City lab at the Magna Institute of Dental Technology, where he specialized in Dental Ceramics. With a wealth of experience, Nick relocated to Florida in 1977 and, alongside his business partner Guy Campion, established A&C Dental Lab.
Throughout his career, Nick has approached every case with the commitment and dedication needed to achieve the best possible outcome, ensuring each patient receives the care necessary for their smile. His philosophy is that each case warrants the time and expertise required to create the most lifelike restoration.
Nick enjoys vacationing in Croatia with his wife, Tina, and daughter, Stephanie. He also enjoys boating, fishing in his leisure time, and volunteering at the Croatian Cultural Center in Deerfield Beach, where he has been a longstanding member.
Mike Campion
Mike Campion, a second-generation lab technician, grew up immersed in the family business, A&C Dental Lab, founded by his father, Guy Campion. Throughout high school, Mike gained experience working part-time in various departments of the laboratory. Upon completing high school, he committed full-time to the business, initially starting as a delivery driver and eventually advancing through the plaster and model room. His current role involves designing and milling crowns produced in the lab. In 2017, when Guy semi-retired, Mike purchased his share of the company.
Despite his traditional training in dental laboratory techniques, Mike remains proactive in updating his knowledge with the latest techniques and technologies in the field.
Outside of the lab, Mike values time with his family, frequently travels, and enjoys boating and fishing.
